15 of the best garden centers in Kent

In Kent we are spoiled for choice when it comes to garden centres.

From small, family-owned nurseries to huge outlets stocking a stunning array of plants and gardenias, you rarely have to travel far to find a garden center that suits your needs.

Although most gardening enthusiasts will visit the place that is most convenient for them to get to, many people also travel long distances to track down a particular hard-to-find plant, or to visit a garden center that welcomes dogs, or has a particularly good café garden.

To help you make the most of Kent's abundance of garden centres, here's our list of the best the county has to offer.

1. Vineyard Garden Centre, near Canterbury

The Vineyard Garden Center is open 7 days a week and features a large selection of trees, shrubs, plants and sundries. During the week the center works with the Fifth Trust Day Center to create employment opportunities for adults with learning difficulties.

One reviewer says: “A pleasure to walk around and look at the plants for sale. Great customer service. Beautiful place in beautiful surroundings. Everything at a reasonable price.”
