The huge, colorful blooms of amaryllis bulbs are perfect for brightening your home during the winter months. Around the holidays, vibrant red — or even red and white — flowers make festive additions to your home decor, but there are plenty of other varieties you might choose. Here's a look at some gorgeous amaryllis plants that bloom in eye-catching colors, patterns, and shapes.

'Temptation' takes the prize for most intricately patterned flowers among amaryllis cultivars. The seven-inch-long white trumpets are edged with red with crimson stripes and spots on each petal, centered in a red throat. The flowers seem to change their patterns every time you look at them. Lure stalks reach about 2 feet long.

'Dancing Queen', a double amaryllis variety, produces lots of petals, and the flowers appear very full. Double varieties also tend to bloom a little faster than single amaryllis varieties, so impatient gardeners won't have to wait as long to see flowers. Multiple red and white striped petals form a stunning flower on 2-foot stems.
