Barbara Lynn O’Neill, 54, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Boca Raton Regional Hospital following a hemorrhagic stroke. She was born on August 27, 1969 in Rahway, New Jersey.

Barbara attended Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale and graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1988. She attended college at Tallahassee Community College and in 1991 moved to Boca Raton to begin her career in medical practice management, specifically obstetrics and gynecology. She first worked with doctors John Briggs, Harvey Roth, and Frederick Selvin. She joined the practice of Dr. David Lubetkin and Dr. Steven Birnbach in 1999, and has continued to work exclusively with Dr. Lubetkin until now. I loved this field of medicine because it brought good news to patients. In the past 25 years, Dr. Lubetkin’s practice has flourished and she was proud to be a part of its success along with all the midwives and staff.

She was loved by all who knew her and was always willing to listen to anyone and gave great advice; Especially issues related to finance, cars and business.

Barbara was kind, gentle, generous and tolerant, and she especially loved being Aunt Barbara to her niece and nephew.

Barbara's most recent work was providing the gift of life through organ and tissue donation through the organ recovery agency Life Alliance at the University of Miami. This gesture gives her family great comfort.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Daniel O'Neill, and his respected uncle, Thomas Romana. She is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Pelkey O'Neill of Fort Lauderdale, FL, sister Susan of Boca Raton, FL, brother, James (Ashlea) O'Neill of Cumming, GA, niece, Kaylyn O'Neill and nephew, Connor O. Neil Cumming, Georgia, Aunt Marilyn Romana of Wayne, NJ, Uncle Larry (Angela) O'Neill of Sparta, NJ and cousins, The Honorable Scott (Laura) Romana and their son Tommy of Wayne, NJ and Christopher O'Neal of Sparta, NJ. "
