Although fresh flowers have the ability to brighten any room, while providing aromatherapy, dried flowers have their own distinct and ethereal beauty. Although it may seem as if the only way you can include them in your interior decor is through vases, this is not necessarily the case.

Restrained and framed

Dried or pressed flowers can be incorporated into wall decor in many ways, whether it be through frames, wreaths or wreaths. If you want to decorate your wall with flowers in a more restrained way without taking up too much space, try pressing the flowers using a heavy book and parchment paper before placing them in a frame.

When choosing flowers for your compact arrangement, be sure to include a few vibrant focal flowers for the center, complementing them with some muted flowers and leaves for balance. If you want it to be delicious, choose a single flower. To make pressing easier, choose only flowers with flat buds. It is best to pick or buy freshly opened flowers to reduce the amount of color that is drained during the pressing process.

After you let the flowers dry for a few weeks between the pages of a heavy book and parchment paper, they will be ready for framing. Clear frames are usually best for enhancing pressed flowers because they add a soft, delicate touch.

Wreaths all year round

Although we tend to associate wreaths with the Christmas holidays, adding a wreath to your living space is an acceptable way to brighten your home all year long.

You can customize your wreath by adding only flowers that complement the room’s color scheme. Choosing a seasonal look for your wreath is also an option. If you look forward to spring every year, you can incorporate dried pastel flowers like roses or lavender. If you find warm colors associated with the comfort of fall, try dried strawberries and sunflowers for your wreath.

If you feel like wreaths are too much for you, replace them with dried flower wreaths.

Fairylike apothecary jars

Dried flowers in glass jars have an inherent fairy tale element to them that exudes a beautiful fragility. Although they can be found at some home decor stores, you can make one yourself with relative ease. All you need is an apothecary or masonic jar, some dried flowers and dried leaves, and the contents of your choice.

After choosing the focal flower you like, whether it’s gerbera or orchids, add wheat, cedar flower or gypsy as filler material. If you like the distinct look of potpourri and like to smell a whiff of them every now and then, you can add that as well. Non-floral inclusions are all up to you. To add a romantic essence, you can add artificial pearls and silk ribbons. To add a beach feel, choose shells.

A creative touch to placing dried flowers in a vase is to arrange a bouquet of dried flowers in woven baskets or a French shopping bag. The basket can be hung on walls, placed strategically on the floor, or even placed on a shelf. Dried flower arrangements in baskets or French market bags are the perfect choice if you want to add a farmhouse feel to your room.
