FULTON – Frances M. (Full) Pearson, of Fulton, passed away on November 13, 2023.
Fran was born on March 16, 1940, to Martin and Stacia (Piaskowski) Fall of Brooklyn.
She married George A. Pearson on April 27, 1963. They lived in Oneonta. In January 2022, they reluctantly left their Shepherd Avenue home and moved to Bishops Commons (Rich Living) in Oswego. They moved in with Chris and John in March.
She is survived by her husband, George; two daughters, Jennifer (David) Flynn of Oneonta and Christina (John) Hansen of Fulton; and his son, Gregory (Katherine) Pearson of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Emily (Eric and daughter Peyton) Harrelson, Joshua Flynn, Nicole Hansen (Jacob), Rayden Hansen, Steven Hansen (Liz and their two children), Bradley Pearson (Josian), and Elizabeth Pearson; Dear cousin Elizabeth Eisengren; brother-in-law Victor Pearson; sisters-in-law, Lois, Betty and Barbara Pearson and Marilyn (Pearson) DeMaurier; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Fran was predeceased by her parents. Brother Martin Vol. parents-in-law, Pierce and Arlene Pearson; brothers, Robert, Richard, Urban and Eddie Pearson; sisters-in-law Cathy and Faye Pearson; And my dear friend Florence Barrett.
Fran graduated from SS Cyril & Methodius Parochial School and All Saints Commercial District High School (1957).
She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Oneonta.
Fran worked as a secretary in New York City before marriage, then for many years at AO Fox Hospital in Oneonta.
She volunteered with the AO Fox Auxiliary and was a member of the Oneonta Federated Garden Club. She took some college courses at Pace University and SUNY Oneonta because she was a good student and enjoyed school.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, flowers, doing arts and crafts (especially with friends), movies, cooking shows, and traveling. Her favorite trips with George were Las Vegas, England, and Switzerland. She frequently vacationed at Ridin-Hy, a farm in Warrensburg, with her parents and cousins, and then with her husband and children.
She spoke fondly of her two pet dogs, Mitzi and Daisy.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Christopher Welsh of St. Mary’s Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frances may be made to your favorite animal shelter.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy can be shared with the Pearson family.
