Gloria J. Borgatti

NORTH CONWAY – Gloria J. Borgatti, age 92, a former longtime resident of Amesbury, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, September 5, 2023, at Mineral Springs Nursing Home in North Conway, where she was a beloved resident for nearly two years.
Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, on January 8, 1931, one of six children of the late Angelo and Albina (Polly) Borgatti, she attended Amesbury High School.
Gloria was a Quality Controller at the former Henschel Company and Owens Illinois in Newburyport, to name just some of the places she has worked throughout her life. She loved the work and was always considered a valuable employee wherever she worked.
She had quite a few dear friends at Amesbury, including Henry and Lillian Ratti, and Greta and Eddie Paulhus. Jack and Rosie Werner, and her nursing friends, Carol Frost and Mary McKenzie. In 2019, Gloria moved to North Conway to live with Greta Paulhus, and in October 2021, Gloria became a resident of Mineral Springs Nursing Home due to declining health.
She leaves behind a brother, Richard Borgatti of California, along with numerous nieces and nephews from near and far, and her dearest friends who played an integral role in her life. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Wilfred Borgatti, Ralph Borgatti, Lorraine Borgatti and Ramona Mello.
A private graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Amesbury, where she will be forever buried alongside her beloved friends, Henry and Lillian Ratty.
