Women adorn themselves with traditional clothes and jewelery and visit temples dedicated to Goddess Parvati. They perform ‘Shringar’ (decoration of the deity) and offer flowers, fruits and other traditional offerings. After fasting for an entire day, the women prepare delicious traditional dishes, including sweets such as guar, malpua and other festive dishes.
