Highlights from Shoppe Object, new looks from Perennials and Sutherland, and more

The winter market season is in full swing, and launches are getting hotter by the minute. Between the latest designer collaborations and innovative runways at Shoppe Object, there’s no shortage of dreamy debuts to admire over the weekend. From ombre window panels to upholstered outdoor lounge chairs, here are some of our favorite drops from the past week.

Perennials and Sutherland released a joint collection called Wabi Sabi. The former introduced eight outdoor-ready fabric styles and three floor coverings infused with colorful, feel-good motifs — including a hand-knotted ombre rug and cheerful Arigato upholstery — while the latter dropped six bold, angular furniture designs available in teak or teak . Aluminium.

Anthropologie selected Katie Hodges for a 35-piece collection that includes bedroom, living room and bathroom furniture infused with the Los Angeles designer’s signature California cool. Notable features include a faux fur upholstered chair with scalloped back and a velvet sofa with corner arms and birch legs.

Studio MTX – the Parisian company behind Chanel’s exquisite Métiers d’Art creations – presented four custom designs inside the Invisible Collection penthouse in New York’s Steinway Tower this week. Debuts include Coda, a wall mirror made from twisted ropes and 250 gold-galvanized tubes, and the Leaves Color Gradient window panel, a stunning customizable hue with brushed brass accents – offering a subtle alternative to traditional curtains.

Nestig’s latest collaboration for children’s room furniture and decor pays tribute to beloved children’s book author Richard Scarry. The collection offers bedding, curtain panels, floor coverings and wall art decorated with some of the late artist’s most famous illustrations, including a comforter covered in iconic cars and trucks and a machine-washable organic cotton rug depicting a pair of mice driving a crayon. At Shoppe Object, Heller unveiled the soon-to-be-launched SOS Chair designed by Josh Owen. The simple, multi-tasking design is made from post-consumer recycled plastic and features two gently curved side hooks that double as wine glass holders or handles that allow the seat to moonlight as a tray.

Kismet House has launched two collections in collaboration with Studio M Lighting. The first, called Kismet, includes four fixtures with fluted satin white glass shades that mimic pleated fabric, while Primrose offers a candelabra, pendant, and flush fixture fitted with a scalloped metal shade with a hand-applied gold leaf underlay.

Mud Australia has revealed the vibrant Spring 2024 edit in Shoppe Object. In addition to a variety of softly colored tableware – in shades such as mint green pistachio and light duck egg blue – the displays included the Sydney-based brand’s newly launched pendant lighting and lamps, as well as a collection of hand-carved vases.

Tineke Triggs introduced the Uniek tile series in its ongoing collaboration with Maison Surface. The collection includes 13 distinctive stone designs with dazzling deco patterns, such as diamond-like brit; cubic liter. And Taylor, a beauty with wavy lines and hints of eggplant.

Matthew Fisher’s line for Remains Lighting is a love letter to ancient Greece. Drawing inspiration from classical Greek mythology, the series features seven geometric designs draped in base materials such as stone, leather and linen – including the hand-carved white alabaster Kalathi Hanging Lantern and the Nima Cascading Chandelier, made from inlaid panels of worked brass.

Pierce & Ward’s line for Modern Matter is filled with bohemian whimsy. The collection showcases 18 eye-catching designs of solid brass hardware – including some ornate designs with pine tree or betel nut details – such as the ribbed Florence handle, the sphinx-shaped Josephine bow, and the deco-style dotted Joan ring pull.

Neighbor’s latest releases will instantly elevate your client’s outdoor space. Along with the Acorn Lantern—a portable, rechargeable LED lantern with an optional stand—presentations include the teak Haven bench and the Sunbrella boucle sled-style Dweller chair.
