Of course, when Stacey wowed her followers with it Enchanted ceiling inspired by Harry Potter Back in November, we thought we’d seen all the ceiling decorations this stylish hunk had in her wardrobe. But Stacey has since taken to Instagram to show off the clever way she’s recreated her vintage design, and it’s the perfect ode to spring… and her daughter.
Stacy Solomon DIY Flower Cloud Ceiling
Stacey made no secret of her love for Table planning over the years, but she’s taken her dining room decor to the next level in recent months. Decorate above The table itself, raised its aesthetics and focused its attention on the ceiling. It’s safe to say that fans are obsessed.
To celebrate her daughter’s birthday in February, Stacey shared a ‘Flower Display Of Love’ with her followers – and she plans to make these ceiling decorations a regular event. But what we love most about this romantic design is that it’s easy to recreate at home for those looking to Budget valentine’s day decorating idea Or a Spring tables.
Margaret Larson, of Sustainable furniture, “Stacey’s hanging flower ornament is perfect for creating an eye-catching, lively focal point on a small budget.” The decorative feature can be easily made at home with minimal tools and equipment, so less skilled homeowners should be fine.’
“Because the decoration is hanging, it doesn’t take up valuable floor space, making it ideal for small homes where you might have trouble incorporating large centerpieces.”
Stacey achieved the stunning look by hanging a coiled piece of chicken wire (along with what we assume is fishing wire) on the permanent hooks on her ceiling. She then pushed the artificial flower stems into the wire, and alternated between pretty red and pink roses and pink hydrangeas.
With all the flowers in place, she revealed the result: a blooming cloud of flowers that seemed to float effortlessly from the ceiling.
Of course, Stacy already had most of this infrastructure in place before starting this Easy DIY project. “I decided to put some permanent hooks in the ceiling joists and make a little centerpiece hanging over the table,” she wrote. I loved having Harry Potter on the table so much, but after Christmas I went straight to Layton and the space seemed empty 😂 so now I can switch this up with the seasons.’
This is good news for those who want to recreate this look in their home, as we have no doubt that Stacey’s next seasonal ceiling creation will be just as inspiring. But what if you don’t have the means to install permanent hooks in the ceiling?
Ok do not worry. There’s an easy way to recreate this floating look in a file Tenant friendly fashion. By sticking command hooks to the ceiling, you can avoid any unnecessary holes or damage while still creating the same effect. All you have to do is make sure you adhere to the weight restrictions of these products so they don’t fall off.
If you’re planning a heavier decoration above the table and don’t think these control hooks will be strong enough, you could also use something like this Lakeland Ginger Ray Table Clamp or this Adjustable black metal bar above the table From Amazon.
Just remember that using chicken wire can be a little difficult, especially when working with it for the first time. Our content editor, Holly Cockburn, recently experienced the disturbing nature of this material.
“I tried to create a Christmas wreath on the fireplace using chicken wire, but it was more difficult than I expected,” she said. “I wrapped the chicken wire so that it rested on top of the mantelpiece in a sausage-like shape,” she said. “However, I think laying it flat would have been more convenient.” benefit”.
‘I also used artificial flowers with thick stems, this made it difficult to bend inside the chicken wire and gave me limited flexibility. I recommend using real flowers so you can shape them more easily, or artificial flowers with thin, bendable stems that you can cut to size.’
So, this is something to think about if you plan to recreate a Stacey floating roof yourself.
