The fall design events begin this week with La Petite Maison

Fall is a busy time in Houston’s home design world, with trade house shows, designer-focused events and large Round Top antique shopping sprees.

This fall, the new Design Edge event, combining the best of High Point with KBIS’s major kitchen and bath event, will be at the George R. Brown Convention Center, and home displays will connect visitors with new ideas and vendors at the NRG Center and the Lone Star Convention Center will showcase Week Organized by the Houston Design District, the annual Fall Design Show brings together local and national talent and the AIA Houston’s annual home tour will open eight homes designed by the architects to the public.

Design edge

Think of Design Edge September 13-14 as a smaller combination of High Point Furniture Market and the KBIS kitchen and bath event that goes all the way to major metro areas, including Houston. They include home goods manufacturers such as Hooker Furnishings, Palask, Vanguard Furniture, Sherrill Furniture and Hudson Valley Lighting Group, with kitchen/bath brands Cambria, Cosentino, Miele and Monogram all under one roof. It’s a great opportunity for design industry professionals who can’t take the time or spend the money to go to big trade shows out of town. Each vendor will have their own experts on hand to talk about the new products.
Information: 9am-6pm on September 13, and 10am-3:30pm on September 14 on the third floor of the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida de las Americas. Trade only; Submission is free
