This electric wheelbarrow from China looks fun to use
There are some things I never thought I would see so electrified. Cars? I get it. Bicycles? Sure thing. Boats? Why not? But when it comes to lawn tools, I never thought I’d see a wheelbarrow go the way of electric hedge trimmers.
However, that’s exactly what we’re checking out today in the latest edition of our “Alibaba’s Very Weird Electric Vehicle of the Week” column.
That’s right, this adorable little electric car can be yours, if you order it directly from China.
It weighs just 179 kg (394 lbs) but is rated to hold up to 300 kg (660 lbs). This means that you and your friends can definitely go for a ride around the farm!
In fact, there’s a little platform in the back so you can do that It can actually Ride it. And with those all-terrain wheels, it handles as well as loose dirt like you’d find on a construction site.
Just check out how well this thing works in the video below!
It cruises at a top speed of 15 km/h (9 mph), although its top speed in the opposite direction is 6 km/h (4 mph). To be fair, my top speed in reverse with the wheelbarrow is probably not 4 mph.
It also has some other qualities that make up for the somewhat slow speed. For example, you could turn on a dime. The company claims a tight turning radius of barely 1.5 meters (less than 5 feet)!
If you’ve ever needed to meticulously make your way through an obstacle course and then dispose of a pile of manure, this is the electric wheelbarrow you’ll need for the job.

I’ll admit, the idea of an electric wheelbarrow seemed strange to me at first. But the more I stared at this thing, the more I loved it. Moving a heavy wheelbarrow is not an easy task. One or two trips are possible, but if you have to carry loads all day like that, you’ll be begging for an electric wheelbarrow.
And at a low price of just $630, this thing isn’t even that expensive!
Of course as we’ve seen with some of my own Alibaba EV purchases, the final price is often many times higher (by as much as several thousand dollars, even on cheaper items like these). So don’t get too excited. And I always warn people against sending their money to unknown companies around the world. We’d better enjoy this thing from the safety of our screens.
Speaking of which, I’m going to go watch that video again, this thing is pretty cool!
